Daikin has recently supplied a chiller from the R-32 EWAT-B- Series in the context of a project involving a luxury hotel in Cyprus.

About the project
The R-32 EWAT-B- Chiller was installed as a replacement of an old screw chiller. The aim was updating the hydronic system which supplies comfort cooling to the hotel through Air Handling Units and fan coil units serving rooms and public spaces.
The customer was looking for a solution that could make the HVAC system more energy efficient and reliable, so not only operative costs will be contained, but also the customer experience will be improved because of a HVAC system able to always ensure comfort.
More about the project and the technical solution
The R-32 unit with six scroll compressors and partial heat recovery will provide the HVAC system with a high energy efficiency, great reliability – also thanks to the E coating, which will protect the unit from the corrosive coastal environment – and a solution able to support the production of hot sanitary water for the whole hotel.
The EWAT-B- Series is part of the first generation of Daikin R-32 chillers, which has started Daikin’s leadership in the design and development of R-32 products.
In 2018, Daikin was an early innovator and made history by introducing the first R-32 refrigerant chillers, followed by free-cooling scroll units the same year, the R-32 Heat Pump in 2020, and the R-32 Small Inverter Chiller in 2021.
Today, Daikin is the brand with the highest number of R-32 installations in the world, as a testimony to the experience, the knowledge, the quality, and the reliability of its R-32 products.
