Main requirements in the project
The project required completion without any complete shutdown of the HVAC plat, while taking all required authority approvals.

More about the project
The customer was looking for air-cooled screw compressor chillers with high energy efficiency that could guarantee great reliability in the high ambient temperatures and dusty environments, plus a chiller system manager able run the plant with the best performance and that could be easily integrated into the existing BMS system.
The chillers chosen were from one of the most efficient Series by Daikin, the EWAD-M, a range of products specifically designed to stand and perform in Middle East environments with features such as high ambient temperature operation and protection for exposure to dust and tough environment.
Besides that, the M Series features the Single Screw Compressor designed and manufactured by Daikin.
The screw compressor by Daikin, differently form a screw compressor, uses one main screw meshing with twin star rotors to produce volume matching compression cycle. Due to the main rotor, balanced in both radial and axial direction, the compressor bearing has extremely high reliability. Therefore, its life span can be longer than other screw compressors. The single screw compressor, then, has only three moving parts. As a result of that, it reduces the possibility of failure and keeps operation costs low.
Footprint was another very important aspect in the project. Daikin met this specific need with the M Series, a range of chillers specifically designed to operate in Middle East conditions.
