2 x EWAT-B- R-32 chiller with hydronic free cooling and hydronic kit
Total cooling capacity: 1400kW
Project background
The Irish factory of the client company needed new air-cooled chillers to provide plastic forming tools with the necessary cooling so they can operate correctly. Of course, among the main requirement for this project there were energy efficiency and reliability.
To meet the requirements in this project Daikin supplied two air-cooled scroll R-32 chillers from the Bluevolution Series, able to provide both outstanding energy efficiency and proven reliability.
More about the project
The chillers provided featured the natural migration free cooling option and the hydronic kit, which integrate water pump on-board, simplifying installation and allowing to reduce the overall system footprint.
The free cooling option will help making the whole HVAC system extremely efficient. In fact, with free cooling, chillers will be able to use outdoor favorable temperatures to chill water, switching compressors off and limiting the impact of mechanical cooling in energy consumption.
Air-cooled R-32 chillers, then, were not chosen just for outstanding energy efficiency, but were also chosen for their documented reliability.
Daikin has a huge experience in developing R-32 technology. In 2018, Daikin was an early innovator and made history by introducing the first R-32 refrigerant chillers, followed by free-cooling scroll units the same year, and the R-32 Heat Pump in 2020.
Today, Daikin is the brand with the highest number of R-32 installations in the world, as a testimony to the experience, the knowledge, the quality and the reliability of its R-32 products.
