The unit was installed and commissioned in the context of a refurbishing project involving a prestigious mineral water factory in Italy. The main features of the project and Daikin solutions
As part of an energy efficiency project, the customer decided to rely on the experience of Daikin and its “made in Italy” Applied technology. The first step in the project was about making the refrigeration plant reliable and efficient, so the thermic comfort of the staff in the plant could be ensured.
Among the main drivers that led to Daikin’s solution as a choice there was reliability for continuous operation and high seasonal efficiency. Another request was to guarantee ease of maintenance. To meet these needs, Daikin supplied an Inverter screw chiller from the TZ range with R-134a refrigerant. A chiller that stands out for reliability and efficiency.

The Daikin 3rd generation of screw inverter compressors stands out for the new design, which allows it to have very high seasonal efficiency and absolute reliability.
Daikin’s screw inverter compressor differentiates from other Inverter compressors for integrating the inverter directly on the compressor, which uses refrigerant to cool down the inverter protecting it from environmental conditions such as ambient temperature, altitude or air quality (presence of pollutants, dust or sand).
Besides that, then, the Daikin screw inverter compressor is designed to use one main screw mashing with twin star rotors to produce a volume-matching compression cycle. Due to the main rotor, being balanced in both radial and axial direction, the compressor bearing has extremely high reliability. Therefore, its life span can be longer than other screw compressors. The single screw compressor, then, has only three moving parts. As a result of that, it reduces the possibility of failure and facilitates maintenance operations.
