PROJECT
Daikin recently supplied a mechanical ventilation solution featuring heat recovery and special filters to meet Indoor Air Quality and efficiency needs. The Air Handling Units from the Modular R Series will complete the HVAC system which is also integrating Daikin VRV units to provide the building with both cooling and heating.
Aiming to deliver a comfortable and healthy environment, this solution was installed in a Public Building in Alcoy (Valencia) to provide better air quality for the entire building accommodating offices, university classrooms and leisure spaces.

CHALLENGE & SOLUTIONS
The main requirement for this project was to provide filtered air for crowded spaces, including classrooms of a university. The mechanical ventilation system featuring heat recovery will guarantee continuous air exchange, allowing exhausted air to be extracted and replaced with fresh air from outside. The Daikin Air Handling Units installed will help making the building’s indoor environment comfortable and healthy by providing high quality and clean air for work and leisure spaces. In addition to that, the provided solution integrates the Intelligent Touch Manager (iTM), which allows the Modular R units to be managed from a single, easy-to-use, and intuitive touchscreen controller. This integration will help reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, minimizing energy waste while ensuring occupants’ comfort.
