NEEDS & SOLUTIONS
The customer's main requirement was to renew the existing chiller plant while increasing energy efficiency. To meet these requirements, Daikin was selected as the preferred supplier and offered two types of units that incorporate the latest technology to ensure maximum energy efficiency and meet the customer's high standards.
The Daikin EWAT-B- unit uses R-32 refrigerant, which reduces environmental impact by 68% vs R-410A and directly reduces energy consumption thanks to its high efficiency. In addition, sustainability was a key factor for the client. The units also feature Dynamic Condensing Pressure Management, which allows the chiller controller to adjust the condensing pressure set point and minimise overall chiller power consumption. This ensures low operating costs, saves energy and resources, and guarantees outstanding durability. In addition, the careful design of the unit optimises energy efficiency, improving the profitability, effectiveness and economic management of the installation. It also has two independent refrigerant circuits for maximum reliability and allows precise scheduling to reduce fan speed and noise.
Daikin also supplied EWWD-VZ units which, thanks to Daikin Inverter Compressors' inverter technology, continuously adapts the compressor speed to the actual demand. This results in fewer power-consuming starts and stops, reducing energy consumption by up to 30% vs non-inverter units and maintaining more stable temperatures. The unit offers high efficiency at both full and part load conditions, and its compact footprint with stacked heat exchangers makes it suitable for various process and comfort applications, such as hotels. Daikin inverter screw compressors provide a highly efficient and flexible solution, ensuring precise temperature control and fast response to changing loads. These chillers also feature advanced control systems to monitor and optimise performance, helping to maintain a comfortable and safe indoor environment.
The renovation of the hotel complex is a prime example of how Daikin's technology can improve the indoor environment while reducing costs and environmental impact. With its innovative solutions and commitment to quality, Daikin is a trusted partner for facilities looking to upgrade their HVAC systems.
Furthermore, following installation, Daikin offered additional support through remote monitoring and maintenance through the Daikin on Site service. This service allows continuous equipment monitoring, pre-emptively addressing any potential malfunctions to prevent operational disruptions.
